The Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO) condemns all forms of discrimination, racism, and racial intolerance against people of color in our communities and in our organization. Women of color have historically been systemically denied inclusion in our economy, education, civic privileges, and responsibilities in the voluntary sector, not excluding our own Junior League of New Orleans. The time is now for us to accelerate our ongoing efforts to be a more inclusive organization and to more fully embrace all women, regardless of ethnicity, skin color, religion, orientation, and socio-economic factors. We commit to policies and actions that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organization. When we do this, we unlock tremendous power for our community and realize our vision of women leading for a greater New Orleans.
