Leigh Morgan Thorpe

Leigh Morgan Thorpe serves Associate Vice President of Annual Giving and Membership at The National WWII Museum. She oversees the Museum’s entire membership program, which has more members that any other museum in the country, with 160,000+ active supporters each year. She also oversees the Museum’s Fundraising Events team and its Memorial Brick program. All of which bring in more than $15 million in revenue for the Institution each year.

As a volunteer, Leigh serves on the Board of the Junior League of New Orleans as its Planning & Development Council Director. She also serves as Immediate Past President of both Friends of City Park and the Loyola University Alumni Association, where she was named Volunteer Young Alumna of the Year in 2009. She is a Board member of the City Park Improvement Association, where she serves as Special Events Chair, and an Advisory Board member of Dress for Success New Orleans. She has most recently joined the Executive Leadership Team of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign and will begin fundraising as a “Woman of Impact”.

Leigh has served on the boards of Le Petit Theatre, Save Our Cemeteries, and the Committee for a Better New Orleans, and has chaired or assisted with fundraisers for dozens of local nonprofit organizations.

She is a graduate of both the Center for Nonprofit Resources’ BoardsWork board training program, and the Committee for a Better New Orleans’ Metropolitan Leadership Forum. In Fall 2016 Leigh was named one of New Orleans “40 Under 40” from Gambit Weekly.
