One of two brand new League projects this year, JLNO joined efforts with national non-profit KaBOOM! and two community partners, Lakeview Presbyterian Church and non-profit Phoenix of New Orleans, to design and build a playground in Katrina ravaged Lakeview where neighbors are still struggling to rebuild.  This playground, built on the grounds of Lakeview Presbyterian Church, is now open to the public-- filling a huge void for this New Orleans neighborhood while complementing the JLNO Mission of building better communities and the KaBOOM! mission to build playgrounds that are accessible to every child in every community.
