Incontinence affects tens of millions of people across every age, background, and life stage. It’s one of the most common conditions most people never talk about.
A person can spend roughly $200–300 per month on necessary supplies, a significant burden for anyone on a fixed income.
World Continence Week is our chance to break that silence and make sure no one in our community goes without the supplies they need.
In 2025–2026, the JLNO Diaper Bank saw a 335% increase in adult incontinence distribution, providing 41,720 products to partner agencies across Greater New Orleans. Since our founding, we’ve distributed more than 63,000 total.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Get educated about adult incontinence | Adult incontinence can profoundly impact an individual’s emotional well-being and quality of life. Due to stigma and embarrassment, there is often underreporting, and many individuals affected do not openly discuss their condition or seek care. Learn more about adult incontinence.
- Host a product drive | Partner with us to collect adult incontinence supplies any time during the year. We’ll even provide planning resources and materials to help you organize and promote your drive. Sign up and start planning your drive now.
- Donate adult incontinence supplies | Drop off donations at the following locations throughout the city:
- JLNO Headquarters: 4319 Carondelet St., New Orleans, LA 70119. Donations accepted Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- JLNO Diaper Bank: 1109 North Al Davis Road, Unit A, Elmwood, LA 70123. Donations accepted Wednesday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
- Ochsner Health Center for Children: 1315 Jefferson Hwy, Jefferson, LA 70121. Donations accepted Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m. The donation bin is located to the left of the main entrance.
- Louisiana Children’s Museum: 15 Henry Thomas Dr., New Orleans, LA 70124. Donations accepted during operating hours.
- Volunteer at the JLNO Diaper Bank | Community members are welcome to volunteer individually or with a group of friends, coworkers, or family. Sign up to view available shifts.
- Make a financial contribution | Your donated dollars go further than you think. JLNO’s relationships with wholesalers and corporate donors maximize every gift to the Diaper Bank. Donate through our Be the One Campaign.
