Jennifer Couvillon

Jennifer Couvillon serves as the President of Chamberlain University College of Nursing at Ochsner Health. Dr. Couvillon has 25 years of experience in clinical nurses and holds an appointment with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Prior to joining Chamberlain, Dr. Couvillon served as Assistant Vice President of System Nursing Professional Development for the Ochsner Health System and was as Assistant Professes or and Director of the Masters in Education Program at Louisiana State University School of Nursing. She is a critical care nurse and started her career in the cardiac intensive care unit at Georgetown University Hospital. She received her Bachelor of Nursing in Science and Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus from Georgetown University and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Nursing from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Dr Couvillon has served as President of the Sigma Theta Tau international Epsilon Nu Chapter and American Nurses Association New Orleans District Nurses Association, a National League for Nursing Ambassador and is an accreditation on-site evaluator for the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education. Dr. Couvillon has been recognized as a Sigma Theta Tau National Chiron Mentor. She was named City Business Health Hero in 2016 and 2018, City Business Women of the year 2012, New Orleans Great 100 Nurse 2013, and the Louisiana Nursing Foundation Nurse Administrator of the year 2019.
