Annual Report
On behalf of the Board of Directors and membership and with gratitude to our community, we are proud to present the 2011-2012 Annual Report of the Junior League of New Orleans, Inc. Founded in 1924 by 10 women devoted to volunteer service, JLNO has grown to a membership of over 2,100 Provisional, Active and Sustaining members dedicated to the League' s mission of "promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers."The highlights, project and fundraiser descriptions, and financial statement included in this Annual Report reflect the enormous difference trained Junior League volunteers make in the Greater New Orleans community. These accomplishments are possible because of the commitment and generosity of our members, community partners, preferred partners and donors.
As always, the Junior League of New Orleans looks forward to a bright future of continued service in New Orleans informed and guided by the significant efforts and accomplishments of those who have come before us. It is an honor
to celebrate and serve this city and to play a part in its unique culture and history.
