Celebrating a Century of Service

On March 31, 2024 the Junior League of New Orleans celebrated its 100th birthday. Our yearlong centennial celebration has just begun and we have curated memorable experiences and opportunities for our membership and the community to be a part of the celebration. Spring 2024

Release of the “Status of Women in New Orleans” Study

In Fall 2023, JLNO announced our gift to the community of a funded study through the Newcomb Research Institute at Tulane University on the “Status of Women in New Orleans”. The initial data findings were shared at our Women’s Leadership Summit held on March 8, 2024. The full study will be released in late spring 2024, providing a glimpse of opportunities for community impact and collaboration with thought partners to improve our region.

Community Assistance Fund Grant Awards

During our Centennial year, the Junior League of New Orleans will award a total of $100,000 in Community Assistance Fund grants to nonprofit organizations in the greater New Orleans region. The first $50,000 will be awarded at our May General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, May 21.

Centennial Gala

Join us on Friday, May 31, 6 – 11 PM for an evening of dining and dancing at our Centennial Gala celebrating the remarkable 100 year journey of the Junior League of New Orleans. Guests will enjoy delicious food prepared by Pigeon Catering and high-energy entertainment by the Bucktown All-Stars. Purchase tickets here.

Summer 2024

Community Assistance Fund Grant Applications

Applications will be open for nonprofit organizations in the greater New Orleans region to apply for grants of up to $20,000. The applications will be reviewed and awards will be made in the fall.

“Status of Women in New Orleans” Convening Kickoff

The Junior League of New Orleans will launch a yearlong convening of thought partners from across the region to develop initiatives to collaboratively address needs identified in the “Status of Women in New Orleans” study. The convenings will bring together various organizations who are aligned in addressing the specific needs identified to truly advance the wellbeing of women in greater New Orleans.

Membership Appreciation Night

Save the Date | JLNO members and their families and guests will enjoy an evening of rides, merriment, games and fun at City Park Amusements on Saturday, September 9, 7 – 10 PM.

Community Assistance Fund Grant Awards

The second $50,000 of Community Assistance Fund grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations in the greater New Orleans area.

Implementation of the JLNO Strategic Plan

In Fall 2023, JLNO began a year-long strategic planning process to thoughtfully and boldly consider how the organization will step into its second century of service to the New Orleans metropolitan area. Spring 2025 will mark the beginning of the implementation of the forthcoming strategic plan.
